Teen Meeting

I took this shot today as I went to the West Island (in French, l'Ouest de l'île). It is the unofficial name given to the western cities and boroughs of the Island of Montreal. The name probably originated from the geolinguistic division of the island into French and English, with francophones typically inhabiting the eastern portion of the island and anglophones typically inhabiting the western half. The West Island has a multicultural look with modern buildings and country homes side by side. I felt good to go away of the downtown, and enjoy this quiet neighborhood. Those teens meeting on the shores of the St-Laurent river are probably studying at the the John Abbott College, a three years pre university program called CEGEP.
