On this picture you can see the city hall of Sainte Anne de Bellevue, a municipality at the western tip of the Island of Montreal. It had a population of 5, 062 in 1996. This city is the second oldest community in Montreal's West Island, having been founded as a parish in 1703. The oldest one, Dorval, was founded in 1667. It is also home of McGill University's Macdonald Campus, which includes the J. S. Marshall Radar Observatory.
