Fire in my building apartment

To all my readers,

I am unable to continue this blog right now. A fire destroyed my building apartment on April 2nd. I lost everything I had except my cellphone, camera, passport, wallet, ipod and car keys.
My brand new computer stayed in the fire as well. I was inside when it happened and got trapped in my apartment because my emergency exit was locked. The fire started in the unit underneath mine. I made it out with the help of the firefighter only two minutes before the flames destroyed my apartment.
I want to thank all of you for your kind comments.

Oh, dear - what a shock to open the thumbnail and find your news.

All the very best for the future - I am sure it will take a long time to recover.

Best wishes.

Gee what a terrible news. You must feel awful. Don't worry about your blog, worry about getting back on track.

Jean-Charles, how absolutely awful. Do hope you can recover from this soon and get your life back on track. I can't imagine how awful it must be to lose all your possessions - especially your computer - but at least YOU are alright and that's the most important thing.

Courage! We all send you courage.

Like everyone above, I feel awful for your sudden shock loss of a home. Hang in there. And we'll all send you positive energy.

take care.

Agree with all the others about your material possessions---that's bad enough, but you could have been a casualty as well. A recent illness has shown me what's important in life; material things definitely are not. Good luck to you, and I hope you'll be back in good spirits and online soon.

le plus important étant que tu sois en forme. Mais cela doit être déprimant de voir toute une partie de sa vie partir en fumée.
Courage, on est tous avec toi.

The most important being that you are in shape. But it must be depressing to see a part of his life go up in smoke.
Courage, we are all with you.

I cannot even imagine what you are going through.

I hope the challenge of starting out with just a camera and an iPod gives you great inspiration to go on to great things. I certainly look forward to seeing some of them!

Wow, tu l'as échappé belle, Jean-Charles!!
Je seconde tout à fait le commentaire ci-avant: je ne peux même pas commencer à imaginer ce que tu traverse. Cyber hugs from accross the border.

What a harrowing experience! As everyone else has mentioned, I am so happy that you got out alive and without injury! It's easy for us to say that that is the most important part of the tragedy, but it is so true. It is my hope that your life will rebound soon so you can carry on with your life. My very best wishes!!

Greetings from Juneau, Alaska!
We're so sorry you've had to experience such an awful lose.

Is there anyway you could post your snail mail address or email it to us (juneaudailyphoto@yahoo.com) so that your CDP family can donate funds to help you replace things that you lost?

You're in our thoughts and prayers.

Jean-Charles, What a shock for you. I am so glad to hear of your safe escape and feel so sorry about your living space and all your things being destroyed. OMG, that your emergency exit was locked! How scary! Please update us on your living situation since the fire, if you had renter's insurance, and if we in your CDPB community can put a little something toward helping you come back after this horrible event, I know some of us would be happy to contribute. My best wishes for you!
