I was wondering what kind of animal it was. He seems to be protecting his ball from somebody maybe trying to steal it. I took this picture on the top of one of the rear doors of the church on the Loyola Campus (there is the same statue on the other side). It is the first time I see this kind of sculpture on a church; usually I’ve seen sculptures of personages that are related to religion. There is one more picture posted my More about Me site where you can see a clown holding two faces, one laughing and the other one crying.
